Join us for Field Day and help us celebrate this crucial American victory in the fight for American Independence! Activities will include: Re-enactments of the battle and a Revolutionary encampment. Children can “join” the army and learn to drill. Watch demonstrations of colonial crafts and trades, such as blacksmithing, gunsmithing, lacemaking, and spinning. Try your hand at colonial games and toys. Tour the Whitall House with costumed interpreters, hearth cooking demonstrations and enjoy colonial music Experience the battle first-hand with Walking Battlefield Tours. Come out and Join Us! No Admission. The Jonas Cattell Run Begins in Haddonfield and ends at Red Bank, tracing Jonas’ famous route to warn the patriots of the coming battle. Shuttle and t-shirts provided; prizes awarded. For more information, call 856-583-5120. http://whitall.org Website Launch Event at Drexel Universitys Digital Media Senior Show The Drexel University students who worked to develop Whitall.org will be presenting the official launch of the site in the lobby of Drexel Universitys Nesbit Hall (34th and Market Streets) at the Digital Media Senior Show starting at 1 P.M. on Saturday, June 7th. Food and drinks will be served from 1 to 3, during which time there will be a meet-and-greet with the team and other Digital Media students who will be presenting projects. Starting at 3:00, the groups will give project overview presentations in Stein Auditorium, which is located inside Nesbitt Hall, just across from the lobby where the meet-and-greet takes place. http://www.whitall.org
